Precision Cooling (CRAC / CRAH) Systems

To ensure the safe and continuous operation of servers and critical IT equipment running 24/7 in data centers, temperature, humidity, and air circulation must be controlled with pinpoint accuracy. Precision cooling systems (CRAC / CRAH) are specially designed high-accuracy cooling solutions developed to meet these requirements. ERFA Information Technologies provides stable, balanced, and energy-efficient environments in data centers with precision cooling systems suited to different capacities, configurations, and energy types.

System Type:

CRAC (Direct Expansion) / CRAH (Chilled Water)

Operating Principle:

Precise control of temperature, humidity, and airflow

Cooling Architecture:

Cold/Hot aisle, underfloor, or overhead air supply

Efficiency:

EC fan technology and Free Cooling support

Control & Monitoring:

PID-controlled microprocessor and DCIM integration

Application Area:

Data centers, network rooms, laboratories

CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioner) systems use refrigerant-based DX technology to provide direct cooling, while CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) systems operate with chilled water heat exchangers connected to a central cooling plant or chiller. Both systems maintain the ideal balance between hot air return and cold air supply, ensuring equipment performance while minimizing energy consumption.

"Proper cooling doesn’t just control temperature; it manages efficiency, longevity, and continuity."

ERFA Information Technologies optimizes precision cooling systems at an engineering level through parameters such as airflow analysis, humidity balancing, filtration, fan control, and Free Cooling scenarios. System performance data is integrated into the DCIM infrastructure, allowing real-time monitoring of temperature curves, humidity profiles, and cooling loads. This ensures both energy savings and long-term hardware safety in data centers.
