Raised Flooring

In data centers, raised flooring is a fundamental infrastructure component that creates a plenum for airflow, organizes power and data cabling, and facilitates maintenance access. ERFA Information Technologies addresses all components within a single engineering architecture, including load-bearing capacity, antistatic surface requirements, grounding and equipotential connections, and fire-stopping details. This ensures improved cooling efficiency while maintaining operational continuity and safe access standards.

Panel & Rack Compatibility:

Load-focused tile selection and support system optimization

Air Plenum:

Perforated/adjustable tiles and sealing management

Cable Management:

Dedicated routes and grommet use for power and data lines

Surface Properties:

Antistatic, non-slip coating with easy-clean standard

Safety:

Grounding, equipotential bars, and fire-stopping penetrations

Access & Maintenance:

Easy panel removal, numbering, and transition ramps

Support pedestals and crossbars are determined according to rack density and load distribution; reinforced tiles and substructure are used in heavy load areas. Brush grommets, blanking plates, and edge sealing kits prevent leakage in the air plenum. Power and data lines are segregated to reduce electromagnetic interference, and fire-stopping solutions are applied at critical penetrations.

"A well-designed raised floor directs airflow, reduces cable clutter, and strengthens operational continuity."

ERFA performs leveling, torque checks, panel load testing, and grounding continuity measurements before commissioning. Perforated tile ratios are tailored to the site according to the hot/cold aisle strategy. During maintenance periods, panel cleaning, sealing renewal, and cable organization inspections are conducted to continuously maintain thermal performance and safety standards.
